What to visit in Casablanca?

Being the largest city and economic capital of Morocco, Casablanca is a place little known by tourists, but favored for business trips. Yet the city has an important architectural heritage, characterized by the presence of numerous mosques. The Hassan II Mosque, one of the largest mosques in the world, is a masterpiece of contemporary Islamic architecture. Built partially over the Atlantic Ocean, it can accommodate up to 105,000 worshippers and features the world's tallest minaret at 210 meters. The Corniche, Casablanca's seaside promenade, offers beautiful beaches and numerous restaurants and cafes with ocean views. The Art Deco district, dating from the French protectorate, showcases beautiful early 20th century architecture. The old medina, though smaller than those of other imperial cities, retains authentic charm with its traditional souks and crafts. The Central Market (Marché Central) is ideal for discovering local products and Moroccan gastronomy. The Villa des Arts regularly hosts contemporary art exhibitions. The Ain Diab district, with its beaches and nightlife, attracts young Moroccans and visitors seeking entertainment. Despite its business reputation, Casablanca offers cultural and architectural discoveries for curious travelers.
